Shigeru Ban is probably known for his paper tube structures... this house, however, is a different direction in green design for the Japanese architect. The 3 level house literally has a curtain wall as an interpretation of the screens found in traditional Japanese style houses. The curtain covers the upper 2 levels of the east and south sides of the house ... when opened it reveals a wide deck space and an interior that can be enclosed via sliding glass wall panels... very stunning design
